Had one of the studs sheer at the bottom of the fork legs. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the north east who could repair. I could give it a go myself but this bike is fighting me all the way. This is the third set of fork legs I have had and I am losing the will

Is the stud end still in the fork? A left hand drill bit and a bit of heat might get it out and leave the thread intact. If you get the drilled hole to the right size you might be able to get a torx bit to bite on it.

center punch the middle of the stud then drill with a 4mm drill then knock in a torx bit so its a tight fit. heat around the stud with a heat gun untill it is as hot as you can get it & it should come out without having to heli coil

It was time to bite the bullet and give it a go
Filled the stud hole with releasing fluid and covered over and repeated for a few days
Centre punch
2.5mm pilot hole
4 mm drill
Inserted a screw extractor and while using a large amount of heat bingo out it came

Result!
Don't make the mistake I did once with a screw extractor trying to get a locking wheel bolt off. I drilled the hole too deep, only to discover the extractor was expanding the bolt as it went in. No amount of leverage would budge it after that!
A suitable size torx bit got it out in seconds.
