Rebore /Pistons

#1 PostAuthor: Shoz » Sat Aug 03, 2019 1:55 pm

Has anyone had a rebore done by IMD pistons, or used IMD Pistons? I see they have done a poll on here and offer us a Z1OC discount...... anyone able to recommend them? Opinions welcome......

Many folks on here used them and this is the brand that Z-Power sell.
IMD offered a discount, but not sure it was ever made formal?

Keyster rebuild kits & carburettor spares - airscrews, jets, needles, starter plungers & gaskets.
Also petrol/ethanol proof float bowl gaskets. IMD pistons preferred seller.

Thanks, I'm going to contact IMD and see if they will give discount - piston kit advertised on their site is a lot cheaper than z power anyway, and if you say that these are what z power sell........

I recently used a set of IMD pistons and rings - very impressed and bike performs perfectly. As someone has already suggested, take the barrels and pistons to engine teknics in westhoughton - I used them and was very impressed. Friendly, sensible price and top work - they have done lots of z's. Rob

OK - so I went with IMD for new pistons (+0.5mm) and they did the rebore. 350 miles in, all is good, my Z1R never sounded so good!
Will post update when more miles ridden....
