Good Afternoon All,
I have just purchased a Z1000 rear hub (minus the sprocket carrier and cush rubbers) and I’ve inherited a small problem ! Has anyone had any experience in removing the steel spoke carrying saucer that is fitted on one side of this hub please ? The hub is a very useable but it’s a scabby thing and requires a very good clean up, the saucer is rusty, slightly pitted and has the chrome peeling off in some areas. So I really need to split these items if at all possible. So far I have tried pressing with a small amount of heat and all to no avail, I can’t imagine that it’s threaded unless of course you know different. Many thanks.

It’s a press fitting almost impossible to remove.
