Kerker Exhaust on Z1000 MKII

I finally got round to fitting Kerker 4:1 exhaust that I purchased second hand a few months back.
I have to say that I think it looks great on the bike particularly the way that the silencer sweeps up.
Now I have to find a neat way to secure the silencer to the bike as it's a country mile away from a mounting point on the bike - it also looks like I won't be able to keep the rear footpegs either.
Has anyone on here been in the same position & if so do you have any pictures of what up came up with ?

You just need to fabricate a 'dog leg' bracket to span the gap

I also have that Kerker, as said above, you need to make a little bracket.

That's a bloody lovely Mk2 you have there!!
I have the same issue with my Kerker, doesn't fit properly without a bracket.
Thinking about going for a Nitro racing pipe as I think the lines suit the MK2 really well.
Dave, do you know how durable the ceramic finish is on these?

GENTLEMEN PLEASE!, firstly the original post asks a self-explanatory question:ANSWER ; just make a bracket to suit; it'll be as good as the thought that goes into it and the quality of the materials used.a simple piece of stainless plate and a rubber sleeve to equalise the space between the exhaust hanger and the inside/outside of the frame loop should be less than a £10er. nigel, the nitro zorsts are a blatant attempt at copying pops yoshimuras originally, hand fabricated masterpieces, i can't comment on the nitro quality but I'd guess for the money, you/i could possibly have an equivalent made here in blighty for substantially less.however I'd stick with the kerker personally. just me and my opinion though.m

I made one from a piece of Dural.
Cardboard template first then the real thing.
If you can find someone with a bandsaw it's a big help.

Yes, make a bracket..
As much as I think the Kerker is the 'defacto' 4/1 for the old Zeds, the quality is crap now. If they were £500 then fair enough, but not at £1k.
For sure, the build quality of exhausts out of Japan will be excellent, but you have to pay for that.
However, to me the Nitro system has nicer, swoopier lines. And I do like to be different & I don't care if it's a copy of something that is no longer made.

That bracket looks way too far back for z1000 application, could it be GS1000 fitting?...its nowhere near and too far back and too far out, personally i think it wont lookm right (imho), should consider cutting

Looking at the picture, i am pretty sure its not Z1000, even if you wher to cut it and pull it forwards it looks like it will foul on the shocker, of course you can space it out. Pretty sure the the end of exhaust shouldnt go past the spindle centre line with Kerkers on z1000 (i have one)....
