LED Bulbs

Has anyone replaced stock bulbs with LED ones ? Thinking of brighter brake/indicator bulbs really - Is it legal and do they make much of a difference ? Cheers :blah

Yes, on my tail light, and then I swapped back to a good old element bulb. In fact the original was brighter than the LED!
The dash warning brake light stays on with a LED bulb fitted so I'm guessing it needs a resister fitted, which I didn't want to do.
