Anyone here built a special using std hubs, what width rims can you go to . I will be using a Bandit 12 swing arm and forks . Thanks

hi Andy, done the same thing but just changed the forks to Zephyr 1100 forks from the Bandit as they suit the bigger wheel better with the mudguard,mine are 18" front and rear, 110 x 80 on the front and 160 x 60 on the rear I used the same sizes as a Hodna cb1100 retro thingie

Done a few "wide rim jobs" lately. From my experience you can fit a 4.25 inch rim with a 150 tyre on and no need to use an offset sprocket, the chain run will be close to the edge of the tyre but ok, anything bigger and you will have to go up the offset sprockets path. Buzzard@thebuzzworkz.
