Advice please gentlemen . .

#1 PostAuthor: RB » Sun Nov 17, 2019 7:19 pm

My Z1000A1 Rider has quit charging, I have bought a replacement all in One regulator / rectifier unit, But it comes with no fitting instructions.

I assume that the beige wires on the unit should go where the 3 Yellow wires went - Is there a specific order for these or can they go anywhere?
White obviously goes to positive
Black to Earth

Now this "Grey" wire at the bottom I assume is to the regulator, but, obviously the regulator has Four wires, Pink, Blue, Yellow and Orangey/Brown.

Any help would be appreciated chaps

Thanks.

I would say that the grey wire is gona be the voltage sense wire which is the brown in the multi plug, This is a switched live in the loom and " monitors" the battery voltage, in the past I have attached em direct to,the battery + with no ill effects, this just means in effect you will be getting true battery voltage on the wire and not 40 year volt drops....your call
