Unknown Disc Identity

Hi Guys,
Please see enclosed images of a disc which came on a front wheel that I bought for the hub some time ago.

The hub was fitted with a 5E dated rim.

The disc is 277mm in diameter and measures around 4.65mm thick and has the 4 mounting holes. The holes in the braking surface look like standard Kawasaki drill pattern.

The question is, does anyone know what bike this comes from as I want to put it on eBay as it’s surplus to my needs now.

I’ve cleaned it up a little with scotchbrite and re painted the centre satin black so someone should be able to get some use from it.

Please let me know what it might have been fitted to originally.

Thank You.

Front disc,rear disc ?
Rear discs are ‘shallow’ - difficult to tell from image.

Hi,
I’m not sure if it’s front or rear. It came on a front hub but that doesn’t mean it is a front.
See additional images.

Thanks all for your help.

Hi r3sc
the disc was produced in the first 4 weeks of 1979. The 4 stands for the year; 1979, the A stands for the first 4 weeks of the year.
It could be a Z1000 MK2 front disc allthough I'm not sure about the diameter.
I 'm not familiar with Z650 parts . As far as I know it looks very much like a front disc because the connecting parts between the centre and the disc itself are "hollow". The connecting parts of the rear discs are not, they're a bit rounded.

Hello Philippe/All,
Thank you for your input and suggestions. I’m still not certain what it’s for but I’ll see how it goes. I have fitment options now!

Cheers.
