Can anyone suggest a lighter return spring for 29 smoothies? I broke a couple of fingers last summer and opening the throttle is bloody painful!!
Cheers

There are a variety of these on the market. Used on GP bikes and race bikes in general. Might be worth a look.

The spring on the Z650 VM24's are lighter but can slow down throttle return .
Failing that a throttle cable drum ( twist grip tube ) with a smaller diameter for the cable will make for a lighter throttle but will need more wrist travel to get to full throttle.

Good advice already given foz, as a decent amateur boxer i often had busted n displaced knuckles:the best therapy on the way back was to keep a squash ball in my pocket and squeeze it as much as i could , as tight as i could, and as often as i could; gradually though; i must ad and it works a treat! joint damage doesn't recover quickly, but the surrounding muscle tissue n tendons lighten the load enough to .. hopefully you can build up your grip in no time with minimum effort and you can always play with your balls!! give it a try n good luck.. m
