I'm thinking ahead as I finish taking the KZ1000 motor apart for a full rebuild and thought I'd ask about gasket sets. I'll be after a full set, all the seals etc. and wanted to hear any do's and don'ts from folks out there who have much more experience than me. Are there preferred gasket sets and ones to avoid? Seals I expect I will source from Z Power or somewhere similar unless there is particular advice here. Any bearings I come across which I think need replacing will probably make their way around to my local bearing factor to source that way.
Appreciate any steer and warnings - Cheers

I used non genuine gaskets on my a2 rebuild...everyone of them leaked. Always use genuine parts inside the motor if you can. If you do the stem seals in the head APE ones are fine.

Re: KZ1000 A2 - Gasket set
I've used Athena gaskets with no problems, though I haven't used their head gaskets as I've got Wiseco 1170 pistons.
They're only bits of stiff paper, I doubt if genuine Kawasaki paper is better than Athena paper

Graham, I use Zpower for nearly all my purchases. Zpower will give a fair discount to members.
