Fork Stanchions - New or Re-Chrome?

The stanchions on my Zed are pitted and need sorting. I was going to get a new set but saw this link on another post
http://www.pittedforks.co.uk/index.php
I gave them a call this morning. They seem very helpful and offer a UK mainland collection and return delivery service. Re-chromed stanchions are £195 if I strip the forks myself and a full strip down/re-chrome/rebuild is £295. I've been quoted £125.00 each + £15 delivery for new ones from TW Suspension Tech and I can get mine fully sorted for £295, it seems like a no-brainer?
Plenty of good reviews but has anybody in the club used them before?

Hi,

I’ve used them before on a very early SL350K0 on which the forks were in a bad way.

I sent them to these guys and they did a great job and the forks came back looking and fitting like new and it meant that I could keep the original tubes that the bike was built with!

I've used them twice. They're always busy (a good sign!) so it won't be a 2 week turnaround! But excellent job. Will be using them again on my next project.

I used TW suspension recently and he rebuilt my forks completely with RaceTech emulators and new RaceTech springs , was more than £295 but they should be as good as you can get now

I had some forks done by Philpotts last year.
This time of year expect 6 week turnaround but in the summer it can be 10.

Super quality by old school engineers.

Thanks for the info mate - they look like a bargain but unfortunately, they won't fit my bike (got a Z1R)
Had lots of positive feedback so taking the forks in for tube re-chroming on Friday. I'll post my thoughts on the finished job when I get them back! :up
