does anyone have any experience with regards to fixing a broken carbs' float post? it's a clean break above the pivot pin at about a 45 degree angle. possibly tig-able or with one of the wonder rods that you see on the interweb? any help or recommendations welcomed, it's a small fiddly job more suited to a jeweller than someone who fabricates pylons! m

I have a vague memory of someone doing this on here and i believe they drilled first and put a peg or thin dowel in it and then got it welded.
If you cant find someone to do it send me a pic of whats involved.
It may be easier to build it up rather than stitch the original bit back on.

Send me a picture or post it on here Mark.

Ive spent a fair bit of time recently, building up un-obtainable cast and alloy moldings / components etc. with TIG but its not what i do. The lad i work with is eleventy million times better at it than me but as you guessed, its not that easy to find the correct method.. meaning rods etc.
