Oil filter drain plug

#1 PostAuthor: jonhunt » Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:43 am

The oil filter drain plug on my Z1A is damaged. I’m going to replace it. From memory I don’t think there’s a washer or o ring under it. Should there be?

Not the oem solution, but I use dowty sealed washers on all sump plugs, car or bike.

A better solution IMO if you can get them and reusable without annealing (I generally aquire them from work).

Hi Mark.

Are you well?

I just went by what John asked for. The "oil filter drain bolt" not the "sump drain bolt".

....what I meant was you might have to anneal or replace a copper washer or replace an ally washer, but because the dowty washers are rubber sealed they are reusable without any messing about.
