HT Leads

#1 PostAuthor: AlanB » Mon Apr 06, 2020 7:30 pm

Been thinking about getting some fresh HT leads for my z1000 A2 but wondered if I can fit them to the existing stock coils ? (originals I think) - Otherwise guess I will need to get both coils/leads and aware of Dyna but see Z Power do a set of reproduction original coils/leads and wondered if these are any good or worth considering ? Wasn’t thinking of changing points to elec ignition - Cheers :blah

I have the Z power ones on mine and they are great I also have dyna ignition, I have used dyna coils and found no discernible gains for the extra large amount of cash, only that they have a habit of cracking and if you don't insulate the bolts they short out.

The HT leads cannot be changed :!:

I also have used the Z-Power replacement coils/leads and no problems with them :)

put the Ignition on. If you want to try the Dyna ive a set that have done about 100 ml i could exchange for

Just to put in a word for Dyna Coils.
I have used Dyna Coils with Standard points ignition for a number of years with no issues.
My report would be - easy to fit and reliable.

As has been pointed out - there are cheaper ones available which may be just as good.
