Dear Forum
Removed exhauast system from head - 1 x stud came out on No. 1 cyl (Top stud) rather than just the nuts coming off.
Then half a tea spoon of what looks like engine oil seeped out !!
I can only imagine there has been a crack or breach of some sort between oil way or gallery and the stud hole.
Has anyone come across this before on Z1000 A1?
Bike seemed to be running just fine.
Thanks again
David

It's probably been drilled out before due to broken stud/damaged thread, drilled in a bit too far and into the gallery.Put locktite on the stud when putting it back in and don't thread it in too far.

Thanks - yes I think that sounds like the only practical solution. Can get x ray'd and all that but unlikely to be able to get access to tig weld any crack. Bit annoying.
