Spark plugs

Having spent the last few weeks generally cleaning and polishing my z1000 to within an inch of its life, yesterday I decided to start her up. No go! Pulled plugs and found a couple have a very weak spark. Checked them by alternating them on different leads. Conclusion is a couple of plugs are almost dead. They are NGK iridium, only run a couple of thousand miles. Bikes not been ran since late October. Popped in an old, well used set of standard plugs and all runs fine. I’m thinking sod iridium and just buy some standard NGK.. B8es are what I’ve used in the past. Just wondered anyone suggest alternatives, and do iridium plugs not like to be left over winter?

denso 22's equiv to b7es or denso 24's equiv to b8es. Too many hooky NGK's around to trust supply and always found Denso far superior for longevity.

To be honest I have only had maybe 2 or 3 spark plugs with issues over many years, I run with stock ngks in all my bikes and never buy on-line, the downside I pay a premium, modern fuels do no favours though, I have tried other plugs with no discernible difference, so I always come back to ngk, spark plugs have a tendency to be overlooked in the maintenance department, I check mine once a year gap and clean and burn any crap off with a blow torch, seems to keep them tip top.
