Zephyr 1100 rear shocks
Hi all,
I am in the progress of "tidying up" my Zephyr during lockdown, she's a tired, old girl, but I am enjoying giving her a bit of TLC. I have recently found out that the rear shocks are after-market cheap ebay Chinese specials. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good value set of replacements? The original Kawasaki ones are very expensive!
Many thanks in advance.

Not sure how long zephyr ones are zed ones are 350mm and z-power do some decent cheap replacements for zeds.
Failing that I would try Hagon as good quality and you can specify different springs depending upon weights.
Additionally YSS shocks have a good reputation and someone recommended Brooks Suspension as a good company to deal with.

Depending upon your budget, Maxton do shocks which would be suitable & they'd be custom built too ! Looking at their website they would appear to not look out of place too & in-keeping with the period.
Re: Zephyr 1100 rear shocks
Heard good things about YSS, though I can't speak from experience.
I've got a set of Progressive Suspension shocks on my z1000. Quite impressed, work really well and look good.
I had a set of cheap replica shocks from zpower on the z1000 first and ended up sending them back - the damping was rock hard, like hardtail hard.

Re: Zephyr 1100 rear shocks
Thank you all - all very helpful and useful. I think I might for for the YSS shocks, and based on the service I have already received from Brooks, I will likely use them.

Tec shocks are good, I have them on my thou and xs, they trade on ebay and through their online shop, I had one weeping a while ago and rung them up and next day a replacement arrived.
Re: Zephyr 1100 rear shocks
Just got a YSS shock for my lc from Brooks suspension. As Phil said, i thought they were brilliant and next day delivery free of charge.

Re: Zephyr 1100 rear shocks
I've got a YSS on my FZ750 - very good for the money.
The original Zephyr shocks are good though, I bought a set of 750 ones off eBay for £90
