fitting zx9r rwu forks to 1980 z1000, understand i need to swap bearings, what size bearings do i need ?

Out of curiosity and to learn something could you tell me the model of forks you are fitting?

If you're using the standard yokes you'll have less steering lock and a bit less length, the C1 C2 and E forks are fairly long compared with modern forks but are still a bit shorter that original Z forks. I have C forks on my Z1000 but I got yokes made with a step and some offset. I assume F forks are the same length but are scarcer.
I don't know if a bearing swap will do or if you'll need to transplant a stem...
