Multi Bike insurance

#1 PostAuthor: AlanB » Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:22 pm

My Z1000 is insured via Carole Nash and I have another more modern bike insured separately with Swinton - Can't help feeling I should really have a multi bike policy but always seem to struggle to find anything - Anyone found any good insurers for a multi bike policy that I could look at ?

Couple of bikes with PJ here too.
Half the price of two separate policies and with more benefits.

I use these people, currently,
Allstyles, The Insurance Centre, Clacton Road, Elmstead Market, Colchester, Essex, CO7 7AA.
Telephone: 01206 821330, Fax: 01206 821331.

I have two policies with them, a multi-bike policy, (with three bikes & a M***D on including my Z900 with agreed value) & a custom bike policy, (also with an agreed value).
I found them to be very helpful & their quotes always seem to be competitive whenever I have bothered to check with other insurers.

I used to use Carole Nash for years, but they got expensive & when I tried to insure a custom bike with them, (despite the fact that they said they did custom bikes) they were just plain usless. The bike in question was based on a Sportster & I'd changed the engine to a larger capacity unit & heavily modified the frame. The idiot I was speaking to just kept saying HD didn't list that bike with an engine of my capacity !!! WTF !! I tried to explain it was "custom", but just got the impression they simply did not understand the concept of "custom".

After that I looked elsewhere. People say you should always ring around every year, but I guess like a lot of people I don't. I did try Carole Nash this year though, but they were way more expensive than Allstyles.
