KZ1000 1978. When i let the clutch out from a standing start it starts to feed in ok but then seems to jump the last bit. ( sorry if this is not a very good explanation) Rather than feeding smoothly all the way out. Is there a known problem with the clutch ? anyone have any ideas.
Thanks

It’s called clutch grabbing most find it can be sorted by stripping down and cleaning and check wear on all parts while ur at it ?

As above and also check for warped steels ,notched fingers on the clutch basket and frayed clutch cable..

My bike's clutch was exactly the same. I tried oiling the clutch cable first, then changing the clutch cable, then cleaning & re-greasing the mechanism, but it remained the same.
I then fitted one of these kits from Cybike, https://www.cybike.co.uk/Shop/Products/ ... elease-kit & it was like new again & the notchiness had gone.

Could be grit in the mechanism under the sprocket cover - they are prone to collecting all the road shite!
