Indicator rechroming

#1 PostAuthor: Gavin » Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:10 am

By everyone
Considering indicators are made from what best can be described as monkey metal can they be successfully rechromed, I know that chromer’s don’t like doing engine cases with are usually of a better quality material

Gav, hi
Just had my Z1000A1 petrol filler cap re-chromed (and its made of best quality monkey metal): went in looking well tired and came back shiny and new. The chromer said the end product might not be perfect, but it turned out very nice.

The guy I use is based in Hinckley: might be worth a call - Aaron Walkinshaw 07729361502

Cheers Tim

I thought the shaped chrome lens body was a zinc casting - or maybe even plastic :?:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
