Wiring loom question
Hi,my Z hasn’t been used for 3years, I am fitting a new loom. My question is what plugs into the second plug from left next to the green one behind the LH side panel.
Re: Wiring loom question
if you mean the white connector its the rectifier
Re: Wiring loom question
My rectifier has a green plug

Wrong... that's the regulator.
WHITE: RECTIFIER
GREEN: REGULATOR
BLUE: ALTERNATOR
BROWN: MAIN HARNESS

Re: Wiring loom question
The REGULATOR is a replacement from power. Not got a rectifier on bike for some reason.
Re: Wiring loom question
Just checked it and the regulator I have. there are 3 yellow 1 brown 1 black and 1 white coming from it. So does it plug in the white or green? The plug on it is green
Re: Wiring loom question
Without pictures I cannot say for sure but I suspect you have the combine rec/reg unit in which case you use the green connector and leave the white one unused.
Re: Wiring loom question
Yes that’s what I am thinking. Thanks for help guys
Re: Wiring loom question
Maybe it's a combined rectifier/regulator, green plug goes to the green socket, black wire is the earth & the white wire is the charging wire for the battery. It's possible if you leave the white wire disconnected the battery will go flat ?
