Hi all.
Looking through the service manual for the Z1B ahead of reassembling the crankcases and I notice on several occassions it refers to an Oil Seal guide (complete with Kawasaki part reference) in order to protect the oil seal from damage when being installed. This is kinda news to me - can anyone clarify whether this is necessary/advisable and something need to get to grips with or ....not?
Any advice welcome
Thanks a mil.

All I know - is the Oil seal fitted between the Two crankcases is essential as if not fitted reduces the oil pressure up to camshafts in the cylinder head.

Re: Oil seal guide....WTF?
If it's the oil seals in the cases there are 2 of them.
One goes between the cases and one between the case and the oil pump.Zpower sell them.

Oil seal guides are Kawasaki tools for installing the seals squarely and correctly on the output shaft and ign housing etc.
NOT needed.
