Chaps
Cleaned out sump and gauze filter - all pretty clean initially which was encouraging. Will clange oil filter and O rings. Anything else I need to check whilst in here?
Not keen on the look of the sump gaskets on offer from various suppliers i have seen so far. The old one - which looks factory - seems much more robust, pliable and came off with no discernable issues. Thinking of re-using it with a smear of Wellseal as the sump is not subject to that much pressure and there are plenty of periphery screws. Thoughts most welcome....

If it's still soft and not brittle grease it both sides and re-use it.
Don't use sealant.
The grease will soak into the pores to keep it soft and also prevent it from sticking for ease of removal in the future.

It's definitely still soft and came off with no trouble. Interesting you mention grease. Someone has used some sort of clear slicone sealent before me - evidence of residue since scraped off.
