KZ1000A1 cam timing

Hi,
I have just reassembled my camshafts, followed the Clymer instructions and turned the engine over afterwards but it locks up after one revolution. I lined the exhaust cam timing mark up with 1&4 tdc and counted back 28 pins on the chain for the intake cam but I’m wondering if I might have fitted the exhaust cam 180 degrees out because there are two lines on the sprocket.... Would that have this effect or have I been a complete nonse and missed something? I haven’t done the shims yet but they wouldn’t do it would they?
Any suggestions on how I could fault find gratefully received....
