Morning,
Has anyone had any experience of running 38mm slingshot CV carbs on a GPz1100?
I had a set years ago that I bought with modified inlet rubbers and ran briefly on my gpz, so I know they fit. I think they were off a 750. It appeared to have the potential to go like f*** but ran very rich, so I put them in a box and later sold them.
The idea has floated to the surface again - any info or advice would be welcome.
Enjoy the sun.

That's a lot of carb.

I think 750 gsxr's ran flatslide carbs, around 29mm, there is a proper conversion kit for them to run on zeds as I bought and have a brand new kit for themin a box.
1100 gsxr's ran the cv's and I believe these are harder to get running without an airbox and are to big unless your running an 1170/1260 size zed
I am sure someone somewhere has done it though.

Early GSXR750s had VM29SS flat slide carbs, Slingshots run flat slide CV carbs either 38s or 40s depending on model, they fit on Zs (they're a bit of a squeeze into the inlet rubbers) I think you'll need a Dynojet kit to make them run properly with pod filters, teapot GSX750s have 36mm flat slide CVs that would be a better size for a GPZ 1100, GSX1100EFEs have 36mm CV carbs that only need air correctors rather than Dynojet kits.

Good info. I'll have to have a think.
Thanks very much.
