Having a bit of bother sourcing original - or possibly correct repro - handlebars for Z650B. Mine were the US style high bars so they have been binned - need some proper ones! I believe the wiring runs through them and they need to be reinforced centres - thanks Warren. Also are they 22mm?
Anyone know of a supplier please?

Pretty sure ebay will be your only source Oggers. Best of my knowledge no one makes accurate repops with reinforcment and through bars holes.
Have you tried the usual supects? Kawasaki heaven (ebay) might be your best chance.
Yes they should be 7/8ths - 22mm

Hi Warren
Many thanks for that. Yes, I have been browsing fleabay. Pity no one makes the originals. Something like the below perhaps?

Geeting exited now! Engine back in freshly powder coated frame. Shiny bits all polished up. Taper bearings for headstock just fitted tonight.....

Re: Handlebars - Z650 - wehre to buy
Pics will be forthcoming! Must find my camera first as I am dinosaur who cannot use a mobile for taking pics - in the true spirit of folk who restore old bikes. I don't have a beard though, and I fear this may work against me......

If your going to go for new without the reinforcing, cheaper plus you get discount. http://www.z-power.co.uk/handle-bars-semi-low

Yes - saw that and wondered what was meant by semi-low. They do "look" OK though. If they are standard size/length and drop...or close to it, then fine by me.

Oggers, you'll need to get the shorter clutch and throttle cables to suit the lower bars unless you can live with big loops in them, especially noticeable on the clutch cable.

Re: Handlebars - Z650 - wehre to buy
Hi Oggers, did you really bin your US high bars? I like the high bars. If you still have them how much do you want for them?
Re: Handlebars - Z650 - wehre to buy
Hi Warren
I assume the shorter clutch/throttle able etc can be bought fairly easily? Is there a specific description to them?
R3SC - High(er) bars are currently held in the original parts bin - for anyone to re-instate them should I sell the bike. I'll think about it......
