Easy clutch ?

#1 PostAuthor: 1975-S1C » Mon Aug 10, 2020 9:03 pm

Evening folks,

As my clutch cable has snapped and I’m waiting on the arrival of a replacement, I was wondering whether anyone had any experience with using the PMC Easy Clutch mechanism ? Do they really make it much easier to operate the clutch lever ? And are there any other alternatives ?
At around 120 squids it’s not a cheap investment so was interested to see what experience anyone has with them.
Cheers
Paul

I've got one on my Z1B and I find it brilliant. Clutch is now a 2 fingered operation. I've also got the roller bearing mushroom pusher as well.

How much is your old Zed worth????

That's peanuts...it's a couple of nights out with a currey to finish.

They do make a difference. The instructions aren't easy to follow. However with a bit of trial and lots of error once set up the lever is a lot lighter.

You’re right of course, but I was just trying to establish if they are any good.
120 squids for something that’s going to make the clutch much lighter is money well spent and as you say a fairly trivial amount in the grand scheme of things.
If on the other hand the advice was that they aren’t that great then I’d rather not waste the money and would prefer to spend my 120 squids on the aforementioned beer and curry nights instead :D

Thanks for the info chaps.
We are 3 for 3 on people saying they are good, so I think I’ll be placing an order.
Appreciate the help as always
Cheers
Paul
