Hi
Does anyone know if the lower fork yolk design changed between the earlier Z1s and the Z900.?
My Z1 (1973) arrived with a Z900 front end. I had assumed it was just the front wheel and forks that were wrong. These have now been swapped for the correct items but i have now noticed the headlight ears hit the tank on full lock and it looks like there is something going on around the steering lock stop. The lugs on the yolk don't seem to align correctly with the pin on the frame. I could easily beef up the pin to cure this but it would be good to know if the yolk is actually a type specific to the Z900........and therefore incorrect for my model.
Thanks
Craig

z900a4 steering stops are different the stop on the frame is welded in front of the lower bearing seating on the frame . the z1 stop is a round peg welded to the frame bracing between the front frame tubes
