Cylinder head copper washers

I still have the original head nuts and copper washers from my Z1-B. They have been sitting in a plastic bag with a liberal soaking of WD-40 or ACF50 for the past 43 years. Can I get away with annealing the washers and re-using them or would it be better to buy new. I'm loathe to spend more money than is necessary but is re-using the washers a false economy?

Providing they are in good overall condition, no deep grooves, etc, I'd just anneal them & then clean them up with a bit of Scotch-Brite, unless you really want new ones.

Yes! good to re-use.
Re-anneal and quench in water to flash off the oxides and leave a clean copper finish.
They will stay soft whether you let them cool or quench but if allowed to cool they will need cleaning.
