ELR Z1000R2 Blowing fuses
Hi folks, not long purchased a ELR Z1000R2, I have sorted out most of the problems but the fuse that works the neutral light, the rev counter and the fuel light. Any ideas ? Thanks Mike

You could try unplugging/disconnecting all those parts & see if the fuse still blows, (don't be tempted to fit a bigger fuse than what should be fitted).
If the fuse doesn't blow the fault is something to do with the items you have unplugged/disconnected.
Plug each back in, one at a time until you find the culprit.
You'll then need a wiring diagram & multimeter to go through the wires & try & find the short/defect.

problems like this usually require properly tracing the cables for each component and examining them carefully, there will be a bare/loose wire somewhere that is shorting out.Take your time and you will find it.Good luck.

Re: ELR Z1000R2 Blowing fuses
Mine had a short in the right hand handlebar switch, blew the fuse as soon as the ignition was turned on, by a process of elimination I disconnected the handlebar switch and it stopped blowing fuses.
(Then I looked at the rest of the wiring, realised it was full of old repairs, so I made a new one)
