On the Z1000 A2 with the standard exhausts do the bottom bolts for the shocks come out or do I have to faff around with the exhausts? Thanks everyone!

I think you have to remove the bolts from the rear exhaust hangers to allow enough space. No need to remove any parts of the exhaust.
