Evening folks,
I was just looking into what might be involved in refurbing my clocks with new faces when I noticed that the tacho that’s fitted didn’t appear to be the same as what was being advertised as a replacement face.
The one that’s fitted goes up to 10,000 rpm with a redline at 7,750. Having had a quick ‘google’ at kz900 clocks they appear to go up to 12,000 with a 9,000 red line.
Can someone just confirm that the gauge I have fitted is an imposter and that I need a 12000 / 9,000 one ?
Also, any ideas what bike the imposter is from ?
Cheers
Paul

the imposter is from a z750 twin. red-lines @ 7,8000 rpm. z900 is @ 9,000 rpm.

Ah, there we are then. Thanks Mark.
I wonder how that found it’s way on the bike !
I’ll need to get the right one then. Don’t suppose anyone has one they want to swap for some beer tokens ?
The repro ones look good, but the don’t seem to have the ND logo on so would be at odds with the speedo. Might have to go that route though maybe.
Cheers
