Aftermarket ignition systems

#1 PostAuthor: NickH » Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:44 pm

Hi All

I initially wanted to keep my Z900 A4 as original as possible, however it seems that you can't buy points that have a hard enough heel to last more than a few hundred miles. I bought what I believed to be genuine Kawasaki points, but after 500 miles, they're pretty closed up, and need constant adjustment.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get quality replacement points, or should I just go any buy a Dyna-S - and thinking about it, is Dyna-S still the recommended upgrade to a points system?

Thanks

Another vote for Dyna S. Fit and forget. Easier starting, better running and smoother.
