Z1000 Cam cover bolts

#1 PostAuthor: Martin B » Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:09 am

Would anyone be able to let me know the size of the flanged hex bolts which secure the cam cover. I think there are 16 in total. I am looking to replace the originals with stainless steel.

M6x45

If you need bolt lengths go to Kawasaki.com, all the parts diagrams quote bolt and stud dimensions which is useful. Same for spacers etc. :D

I personally would replace the originals with nice new ones. If you use the stainless ones then at some point they may seize in there, just like mine did and then snapped. I had to remove the head to rectify this snapped bolt.
