Z1r cam chain

Does anybody have any experience of changing the cam chain without breaking the whole engine. If so where would you get a chain and soft link from

Not recommended, but has been done successfully many times.

I have had loads of success with joining chain but figured this one in the Z1r I’ve re built was still ok so I’ve left it. I figured quit while ahead and not risk catastrophe

for the few extra hours to split the cases and fit an endless chain i've always done that.
