No go?

#1 PostAuthor: King of Kings » Tue Jan 12, 2021 4:44 pm

Hi, after replacing my A1 clutch innards and the cable, on reassembly find that there is no drive to rear wheel? Start motor, pull in very light clutch lever, into first, let out clutch lever and nothing happens, no stalling just no drive? Presumably something is awry with adjustment? Clutch itself was moving in/out after replacing plates and springs before installing cover? Help appreciated :D

i would remove the clutch & check the sequence of the clutch plates & steel plates first plate in should be a clutch plate. back of the screw adjuster in the sprocket cover then tighten until it comes into contact with the pushrod then back it out half a turn then take up any slack with the cable adjuster in the middle of the cable
