GPZ Wheel Refurb

#1 PostAuthor: JimBoUK » Fri Feb 19, 2021 3:47 pm

Hi,

I want to get a pair of GPZ1100 B1 wheels refurbished in black.
They have a polished rim and spoke sides.

I guess my options are someone to powder coat and diamond cut them or to polish, mask and spray them.
The only company I have found for this is Lepsons who do the diamond cutting approach.
They will charge with VAT nearly £200 per wheel. Is this expensive ? It seems a lot to me but I do live in the past a bit.

Or is there any other suggestions or recommendations ?

Thanks

Polish mask and spray and save £390 :)

Mask off the rim edges but don't worry about the sides of the spokes - polish them smooth, spray and when dry scrape off with stanley knife. I did mine that way (red) and you get a nice sharp edge.
