Hi guys
I have had my Mk2 carb bodies away for vapour cleaning and now ready to rebuild, as they are slightly different from each other how can I tell which carb body is supposed to be no.1, 2,3 and 4 as they do not have any identification numbers I can see.

Cheers
Gavin

If they are anything like the A4 carbs you should at least be able to get them in their "pairs" by looking at which side the air screws are & where the fuel enters the carbs.
The air screws should face to the outside of the bike, so carbs 1 & 2 should have the air screws on the left of the body & carbs 3 & 4 should have their air screws on the right of the body.
You should also find that the fuel T-connector will then mate up correctly with the two pairs of bodies.
Also, the float bowl drain screws should all face the outside of the engine, making them easiest to access on their respective sides, (if that makes sense !!).

If the Mk.2 carbs are not the same layout as the A4's then sorry, I'm no help :D

Always take pictures before stripping things down, it helps when re-assembling !

Mk2's are air screw carbs so pair the carbs with the air screws pointing away from the center of the bike.
Also position the breather carb for the left pair on number 2 cylinder and the right pair on number four.
