Fitting chrome wheels to my Z900 a4

Hello All.
I have a 1976 Z900 a4 with Lester alloys.
I am considering fitting original wheels to the bike, the Lester wheels have the 6 bolt Z1 Discs, I have bought a good front wheel with the 6 bolt fitting for the disc.
My question is
Will the Speedo drive from the Lester wheel fir an original front wheel? and if it does fit how does it come off of the Lester wheel?
Do I undo the thread on the spindle? And is there anything in the Speedo drive to drop out and get lost?
Or should I try and get a new Speedo drive.
I am usually ok on this sort of thing but I don’t want to take it to pieces if I don’t need to.
