Replace Ignition Key Switch

Hi i have swapped out the steering lock and seat lock from the 3 new items i purchased from Z Power. does anyone have a simple step by step guide for replacing the ignition switch please?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.

Its a 1976 Z900 A4

if you remove or lower the headlight bowl (take off the light unit and remove 1 of the indicator stems. this gets you more room.

remove idiot light cover.
disconnect ign switch
unscrew round black plastic bit from top of switch.
drop switch out from the bottom

refit in reverse.

Ok the inevitable happened and the wires in the male plug came out leaving only the white attached!
How do i connect the wires back into the male brass pins!

new plug with new pins is what i'd do - try vehicle wiring products or bikerstoolbox

Ok new plug fitted and all good. well nearly! the neutral light decided to play up and doesn't come on

checked in neutral
checked lamp with new and the lamp is ok
checked the 2 wires brown and red/green and they look ok

is it something simple?
