I can't make my mind up so turning to the collective for a decision or a alternative.
I've seen a few Mazda's in Soul red crystal and thought I must paint a bike that colour some day. Well todays the day only I cant decide about detail to go with.
Soul red base. Then want to go with gold, black and white or any combination of those one, two or three.
I've drawn up some roughs in photoshop for inspiration and to give a rough idea of what the end result would look like.
Which do you guys prefer or any alternatives?

Faceache for me, for the others, number 4 but......

Faceache for me every time! Not too keen on any of the others but if I had to choose I’d go with number 1!

Think the Renault Red is nicer than the Mazda.

Worth noting though Car colours will be Metallics, bike colours will be Candy's...



Had my Spare thou paint set done in a Candy apple Red....

Soul red is a candy Gary, primer x 2 coats, base x 2 coats, tinted laquer x 3 coats, laquer to suit. Although I did 2 tinnted lacuer coats as I didnt want it quite so dark. It looks a totally different red in different angles and lights as the base has several different red pigments in it.

I stand corrected, always understood that Cars were Metallics as the Candy process would cost more.

Yep, it aint a cheap box to tick on the options list

I like option 2 out of your examples. Not sure if Zed Thou Mk2 design would look right on a J model. I assume that's what you are painting?

Okay, decision made. Thanks for you input guys, shows just how individual colour schemes are as there was no outright favorite.
Every time I open this thread and look at the options pic MY eye is drawn to option 7 so thats what I'm going with.
What the hell, i can always paint it again if it doesn't float my boat in real life.

Well, ended up changing my mind again! but happy with the result.

Well, after much effort and a years worth of Chipping away at it it's down to 9999 things done and 1 to do.
Just need to fab a chain guard to suite the general form and a clean polish of the whole bike.
Then it's time for a Shakedown ride or two. Historic in April next year just in time for summer. Then time to sell and start the next project.
