Tank question
I’ve taken a tank of a bike to do a rebuild and I was wondering what I could put in the tank to swill it around to help prevent rust coming , I’m thinking possibly oil ? Has any one done this ? Any ideas would be appreciated

Re: Tank question
Just a small amount of WD40 sprayed around inside will do the trick.
This is what I did after clearing rust from a tank with Deox-C, it prevents "flash rust".

Re: Tank question
I just use some engine oil, new of course not old stuff !! Just whatever I have on the shelf, blank off the fuel tap hole, tip some in & swill it around until it's covered all surfaces.
Depending upon how long you intend to leave it, periodically give it a swill around every few months.
