Fitting a rivet chain link

Hi,
So I’m fitting a new o ring 630 chain to a GPZ.
The chain came with a split link and rivet link.
I’m fitting the rivet link as I believe it is safer for a bigger bike.

I’m using this tool on the rivet link

And after doing it as tight as I can it looks like this

To me this does not look like the rivets are splayed enough.
The diameter of the pin is 6mm and the end after fitting has only increased to 6.2mm

So how do I finish this properly ?

I would say that it was adequate, however if your not happy place a suitable piece of steel behind the link and flatten the pins a little with a few sharp taps with a ball peen hammer, dont overdo it though or you will end up with at tight spot :)

If that tool is made for a 630 chain it will be fine as it's designed to flair the rivet only so much, i always run spring clips on my bikes, always have and never had one fail.
