Z1R trip knob removal

#1 PostAuthor: Big Fluff » Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:50 am

Okay this has been asked before but there was no definitive answer.
So how does the trip knob on a Z1R get safely removed?
Thanks.

Not on the two Z1R speedos I have here.... and they are both genuine Kawasaki KM/H gauges.
I rang Al Marshall and he was correct in saying "Lock the spindle in place with a flat-blade screwdriver via the access hole in the rear of the speedo housing, then turn the knob "CLOCKWISE" to unscrew.
He also said it's the same for MPH gauges too.
Job done, thanks Al.
