Hi, can anyone recommend a carb gasket set and fuel tap sellers please.

I have used the Keyster carb kit ,fuel tap from Zpower all good .You may need your choke plungers resealed.!

Thanks for prompt reply, have just looked on their site. £140 for the kits. They haven’t got fuel taps in stock, anyone know the difference between a £75 tap from them against a £18 from flea bay.

£18-£75 You get what you pay for!. They get stock in quick and 15% discount if you order between 8th-10th October.

I've have had some petrol proof viton rubber float bowl gaskets produced which fit the Mikuni VM24/26/26/28 series of slide carburettors as fitted to the following:

Kawasaki:
Z900A4/A5 & Ltd B1
Z1000A1/A2 & Ltd B1/B2
Z1000A3/A4 (MK2)
Z1000ST
Z1R
Z650A/B/C

Suzuki:
GS1000
GS750
GS550

£22 inc. postage for a set of 4 for club members.

I'll shortly have some for the early and late VM28s as fitted to the Z1,Z1a, Z1b.

Keyster carb kits are tops, as for the fuel taps i have had both ebay and the £75 jobbies, identical in every way including fuel let by, go for pingel and pay only once.

I have used Keysters for years, 3 suppliers Sirius Consolidated in the US, NRP in Manchester UK and of course good old Z Power.
Kit quality is good, I bought a set from a german supplier and all the the float bowls leaked, replaced with Keyster, no problem! Lesson learned

Also agree that Keyster are the best kits out there. I have had zero issues with them.

only thing i would say is i've had issues with the air screws in keyster kits so unless your original ones are mullered i wouldn't swap.

swapped in my Z1 - bike was awful off tickover. Put originals back in perfect.

I've never encountered that issue, but I would always keep the original internals unless they are, as you say 'mullered'..

Nigel, Just fitted the gaskets you sent me, Excellent ! perfect fit and no leaks Let me know when you have the 28mm z1 gaskets ready .

The Z1 gasket prototypes are now approved and being manufactured. Hopefully a few weeks until I have them in stock.

Same here, but on my CB750 K1 - new air screws fitted and stuck fast trying to adjust them out and the screws just chewed up the heads and one sheared half of the drive slot as it wouldn't support the torque required to turn it.
Luckily Mark Kelleher (needaz110r) managed to get the buggers out, probably slightly oversized despite being the right kit for the bike. Original are now back in.

They are now ready. I have gaskets for both the early and late VM28sc carbs.
