I've been looking for a 5K or 5L dated rear wheel rim for my UK Z900A4 for some time now, and at Stafford this weekend came across one. 5L code, but suffered the usual butchery to the rim edges during previous tyre changes and so needs re-chrome. Cheap enough though.
HOWEVER, in the cold light of day I have realised that it is actually a "306" type Takasago 2.15x18, rather than the "303" type which I believe would be correct for a 900 A4.

Anyone know what model the "306" rims were fitted to, so I can try and move it one to some one who might actually need it.
Being a 2.15 x 18 (40 spoke holes) I would suggest it is for a larger capacity bike with a 4 x 18 rear tyre, but is not H1, H2, Z1, Z1000.
Maybe Z750 ? or of course even for a Suzuki or Yamaha?

With exception of the date code, the rim pictured is identical to the one I have. The listing title is however for a 1.85 x 18 rim, which is not the one pictured.
And a check via the CMS web site suggests that the Z400 did not have a 2.15 x 18 rear rim, rather a 1.85 x 18 to suit its 3.50 x 18 tyre size.

So thanks, but still not sure what the rim I have could be from.
