Terminal type?

Hi all.
Can anyone tell me what the trade name/manufacturer (or whatever they’re known as) of the round-pin crimp terminals in the multi-pin connectors on a Z1 loom? As close as I can gauge they’re around 2mm dia.

Whilst you’re there does anyone know how they anchor into the connector (and crucially how to get them out?)

Thanks.

Stewart.

Regarding the removal of the individual cables from a typical multi pin electrical connector.

I had to do this when restoring my Suzuki GT750. If you look inside the body of the connector you can see the spade connectors, each spade has a tiny retaining ‘tang’ which protrudes up from the spade.
If you use a fine jewellers screwdriver (or similar item) you can depress the tang and simply slide the wire out of the connector block.
Refitting each cable is really easy, just slide the cable back into the connector and the tang will click into place again.

Suggest that you take a digital image of the connector block prior to removing any cables just so you can replace them in there correct locations.

I have tried to take an image of the inside of the connector as fitted to my Z1000. It was difficult to focus but I think you can see the small tangs. You may need to zoom in to see things a bit clearer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help guys.

I think I am going to have to sacrifice one or two to find out the crimp type definitively and then should be able to figure how to remove them. Definitely sending a sample to Kojacat is the answer.

Thanks again.
