I intend to remove the carbs from my Z1000 a1 to clean the pilot jet circuit and this seems the ideal time to replace the 40 year old inlet rubbers.
Have any of the Forum members used the PMC alternative rubbers instead of the genuine Kawasaki parts?
The PMC items are manufactured in Japan and are sold by Cybike amongst others, so I assume they are an acceptable alternative to genuine.

Also, when fitting these rubbers back to the cylinder head, it is advisable to use a bead of RTV sealing compound to ensure a good airtight joint?

Any information or comments are gladly received.

Deffo use a small amount of rtv compound as gen or spurious parts are all different in the rubber world found that out with standard Kawasaki dampers lucky I had a set of v gauges to measure rubber
