ZZ wheel bearings

I’m just fitting new bearings to both alloy wheels on my 1978 Z 1000 a2. Is there any reason why ZZ bearings cannot be fitted instead of the original old type open bearing. I would prefer to fit sealed steel shielded bearings rather than the open type. I’ve just had the wheels coated and want to minimise handling when I’m fitting. I know they should be the same size but theory and practice are two different issues. Space wise, will I have to remove a shield etc to fit as per the originals. It’s better to know where I’m going before I start fitting over the Xmas period as I don’t have part numbers stamped on the inside of my eyelids
Also, does anyone have a decent workshop manual for sale, not the Haynes manual.
Thanks Steve

I always fit 2RS bearings ( 2 rubber seals) .
Much better than the steel shield type for keeping the grease in and water out.
There should be no outer dimension change from the originals if the preceeding ( usually 4 number) number code is the same.

Thanks for that info.
I’ll use 2RS instead
